Salon software with pay-as-you-go pricing in euros, from €0.25 excl. VAT per appointment. See how CelerBook compares to Treatwell on price, features and the marketplace-commission model.
CelerBook is online appointment software with a pay-as-you-go pricing model: €0.25 excl. VAT per completed appointment, capped at €30 excl. VAT plus €5 excl. VAT per active staff member. No usage in a month means no invoice. Treatwell is a European salon marketplace plus Treatwell Pro booking software. Per treatwell.nl/en/partners/pricing, Treatwell Pro starts at €35 excl. VAT per month for the Starter plan; higher tiers (Advanced and custom Enterprise) do not publish a fixed price. Treatwell also charges 35 percent commission on the first booking of clients who come in via the Treatwell marketplace (excluding VAT; including 21 percent NL VAT this comes out at roughly 42.35 percent per dothebeauty.com).
Where CelerBook works differently than Treatwell
No marketplace and no new-client commission
CelerBook is software-only: €0.25 excl. VAT per completed appointment, cap €30 plus €5 per active staff member. No marketplace, no per-booking commission. Treatwell is first and foremost a European marketplace and charges 35 percent commission per treatwell.nl on the first booking of clients who come in via Treatwell or Reserve-with-Google (effectively about 42.35 percent including 21 percent NL VAT per dothebeauty.com). Returning clients within 365 days are commission-free. For salons that acquire new clients via Google and Instagram, the Treatwell marketplace bill disappears in the CelerBook model.
Full software pricing published transparently
CelerBook publishes one price list: €0.25 excl. VAT per appointment, cap €30 plus €5 excl. VAT per staff member. Treatwell publishes only the Starter rate (€35 excl. VAT per month) on treatwell.nl/en/partners/pricing; Advanced and custom Enterprise rates are not public (sales contact required). If you want to know what you'll pay before signing, CelerBook gives a clearer answer.
Your own domain instead of a marketplace profile
CelerBook gives you your own page at yoursalon.celerbook.com where clients book directly with you. Treatwell routes bookings via a profile on treatwell.nl or treatwell.co.uk; your salon lives inside the Treatwell ecosystem. With Treatwell you get access to 150,000+ European salons in marketplace search results, but your profile remains a Treatwell URL. With CelerBook you keep control of your own page and the direct client relationship.
When Treatwell fits better
Your new clients come via the Treatwell marketplace
Treatwell is first and foremost a European consumer marketplace with 150,000+ connected salons per their product page. For salons in city centres or tourist areas with real Treatwell search traffic, this can be a strong new-client channel. CelerBook has no marketplace; clients find you via Google, Instagram or a direct link. If the Treatwell marketplace channel actively delivers more than 20 percent of new clients, Treatwell fits better, provided you can absorb the 35 percent commission on those first bookings.
Gift cards, Tap to Pay and online deposits are essential
Treatwell ships gift cards as standard, Treatwell Pay for in-person payments, Tap to Pay via Treatwell Connect app and online deposits (2 to 2.5 percent transaction fee). CelerBook does not offer these. If your salon runs daily on deposits for no-show prevention or Tap to Pay on phone, Treatwell fits better.
You have multiple locations with central management
Treatwell offers multi-location support via Enterprise or custom tier (sales contact required). CelerBook currently supports one location per business. If you need more than one branch with central management, Treatwell fits better today.

Replace your Treatwell link on your Google Business Profile, Instagram bio and any other channels with your new CelerBook link yoursalon.celerbook.com. Frequently asked questions about CelerBook vs Treatwell
What is the main difference between CelerBook and Treatwell?
The main difference is that CelerBook is pure software with euro pay-as-you-go and no marketplace, and Treatwell is a European marketplace plus software with a fixed Starter rate plus 35 percent commission on new-client marketplace bookings. CelerBook charges €0.25 excl. VAT per completed appointment with a cap of €30 excl. VAT per month plus €5 excl. VAT per active staff member. Treatwell charges €35 excl. VAT per month Starter per treatwell.nl/en/partners/pricing plus 35 percent commission excl. VAT (effectively about 42.35 percent incl. 21 percent NL VAT) on first bookings via Treatwell or Reserve-with-Google. Want marketplace reach, pick Treatwell. Want transparent pay-as-you-go without commission, pick CelerBook.
Which is cheaper, CelerBook or Treatwell?
For solo businesses and smaller salons in NL, CelerBook is structurally cheaper. At 80 appointments per month CelerBook is €18.75 excl. VAT and Treatwell Pro Starter is €35 excl. VAT flat. If 5 of those 80 appointments are new-client bookings via Treatwell averaging €50, Treatwell adds €87.50 excl. VAT commission (€104.73 effective incl. 21 percent NL VAT). Total Treatwell roughly €122.50 excl. VAT versus CelerBook €18.75 excl. VAT. For steady-volume businesses that work without marketplace fees (no new-client Treatwell bookings), Starter €35 versus CelerBook cap €30 plus €5 per staff; from two staff onwards Treatwell wins on fixed software price but loses again with each new marketplace client.
How exactly does the Treatwell commission work?
Treatwell charges 35 percent excl. VAT on the first booking of clients who discover your salon via the Treatwell marketplace or Reserve-with-Google. Including 21 percent NL VAT this comes out at roughly 42.35 percent per dothebeauty.com. On returning bookings from the same client within 365 days, Treatwell charges 0 percent commission per Salonized's help article. Marketplace fees only apply to clients who are new to your salon via Treatwell; clients you book via Google, Instagram or directly cost no commission.
What does Treatwell offer that CelerBook doesn't?
Treatwell has a European consumer marketplace with 150,000+ connected salons, Treatwell Pay (Stripe-based) for in-person payments, Tap to Pay via Treatwell Connect app, online deposits (2 to 2.5 percent fee), gift cards as standard, and multi-location support on Enterprise/custom tier. CelerBook does not offer these features today and is deliberately software-only without a marketplace.
Does Treatwell offer a free trial?
Treatwell does not publish trial info on treatwell.nl or treatwell.co.uk. Sales call is required. CelerBook gives the first 5 appointments per month free, ongoing with no time limit and no demo request.
What are Treatwell's higher tiers and what do they cost?
Treatwell publishes only the Starter rate (€35 excl. VAT per month) on treatwell.nl/en/partners/pricing. Advanced (unlimited staff) and custom Enterprise (multi-location) rates are not public; sales contact is required. Capterra UK shows 'starting price' £195 without context. If you want to know what you'll pay before signing, CelerBook offers a more transparent answer with its pay-as-you-go rate.
Can I migrate my Treatwell data to CelerBook?
Not automatically right now. CelerBook has no CSV import for clients. Request an export via Treatwell support; expect a manual support request. Enter the clients manually via Clients - New client. Up to 200 clients you handle that in about an hour. For larger salons, email info@celerbook.com for hands-on migration help.
Does Treatwell have a long contract period?
Per secondary sources Treatwell has a 1 month cancellation notice. Verify before signing. CelerBook works without a contract and without cancellation notice: pay-as-you-go. Stop scheduling new appointments and your invoice automatically returns to zero.
Do I lose my Treatwell marketplace reach if I switch to CelerBook?
Yes, if you currently acquire clients through the Treatwell marketplace, you lose that channel on cancellation. CelerBook has no marketplace. For salons whose new-client flow runs on Google, Instagram and word of mouth, that is no loss. For salons where Treatwell delivers more than 20 percent of new clients, this counts as a direct switching cost. At the same time the 35 percent commission Treatwell takes per marketplace booking also disappears.
Do both work with SMS reminders?
Yes. CelerBook charges €0.11 excl. VAT per SMS via Twilio, uncapped. Treatwell has unlimited SMS reminders per treatwell.co.uk in the Pro rate; a separate SMS price is not listed. Email confirmation and reminders ship in both systems as standard.
Does Treatwell have online payments that CelerBook doesn't?
Yes. Treatwell has Treatwell Pay (Stripe-based) for in-person payments, Tap to Pay via Treatwell Connect app and online deposits at booking (2 to 2.5 percent transaction fee, sources differ). CelerBook does not offer integrated online payments; clients pay in store after the service. If you want to prevent no-shows with deposits, Treatwell fits better on this point.
